Daily Bible Verse
Dear Fellow Believers,
As of the writing of this newsletter, Brother Ray is recovering from open heart surgery. Pinecrest has given him a prayer pager. That number is 229-499-0667. After dialing the number, the message will tell you to dial 111 and then hang up. Please continue to keep him and his family in your prayers.
I’ve asked Reverend Tony Register, the Moderator of this Association, to write something for this month’s newsletter.

Psalm 34:19: “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” The word “affliction” or some form of this word is used approximately 178 times in the Bible. Here are some of the associated meanings or definitions of “affliction”: looked down upon; belittled; depressed; misery; trouble; to have an adversary; rival; rise up against; besiege; pressure; distress; tight place; evil; calamity; broken to pieces; fracture; ruin; destroyed dreams; uproar; confusion; disorder; hardship; emotional pain; embarrassment; unbearable or persistent pain or suffering. I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that life has some form of affliction going on at every moment.
God’s promise in Psalm 34 is that he delivereth out of all affliction. But what is deliverance? According to the Hebrew NĀTSAL, the word “delivereth” means to snatch away; to defend; deliver; pluck out; preserve; recover; rescue; rid; save; spoil; to surely take out.
Dear one, many things in life come to you because
you are God’s child, not in spite of. I will end this short letter with God’s promise to you as written In Romans 8:28-39.
May God’s peace which passeth all understanding keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
In His Love,
Reverend Tony Register
